Juventus’ coach Massimiliano Allegri has said the team’s fitness is the best it’s been since he was appointed in 2015.
The Bianconeri were in Italy on Thursday to prepare for their Champions League clash with AS Roma in the Champions League quarter-finals and Allegri spoke about his team’s attitude.
“The team has shown a very good attitude and that’s the main thing,” Allegri said, speaking after a training session in the Bianconeria’s training ground.
“We have not had any problems during the training session and we were in the right place at the right time.”
If we don’t do that, the team will fall into a slump.
“Allegri, who is the first coach of the Biancons since Cesare Prandelli in 2013, also said the squad will have to take some time to adjust to the new rules, which require players to wear full-length protective gear in the stadium.”
As a team, I’m really pleased. “
We will be better prepared for this game, it’s our job to improve and we will get better.”
As a team, I’m really pleased.
The training session was very intense and I had to do a lot of work on my physicality and concentration.
“The club has already announced the squad is without captain Sergio Agüero, while defender Gianluca Vialli and defender Mario Mandzukic have both been ruled out with hamstring injuries.
Mazza, whose future remains in the air, is in the squad with Mario Balotelli and Simone Zaza.
